About Ujjivan small finance bank
Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ujjivan Financial Services Ltd. Ujjivan started operations as an NBFC in 2005 with the mission of providing a full range of financial services to the economically active poor who are not adequately served by financial institutions.
Ujjivan commenced its banking operations on February 1, 2017 when it transitioned from a NBFC-MFI to a full-fledged bank. It attained a Scheduled Bank status in August 2017.
Ujjivan SFB is pioneering better banking for its consumers by offering a whole host of benefits such as formless banking through an Aadhar linked account opening, using state of art hand held devices, doorstep banking, access to biometric ATMs and Aadhar enabled debit cards besides a range of other innovations.
Currently, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank has 115+ branches live nationally across the country and is in the process of converting the remaining 340+ branches in the coming times. Ujjivan has spread its operations across 24 states and union territories in India serving over 4 million lives.
Ujjivan’s mission is to build a leading state of the art “mass market” bank in five years serving the un-served and under-served customers who are currently outside the formal banking system.
